Having grown up in the military I became family with the term "snafu" while a young child. It stands for "situation normal, all fouled up." I've recently had a snafu with my cell phone.
A couple of Fridays ago I was removing my cell-phone from my pocket as I entered the bathroom. I've always been paranoid that I'll drop my cell-phone in the toilet. Well, as I was removing my cell-phone it squirted right out of my hands.... into the toilet.
Verizon was very kind in allowing me a replacement phone which they promptly sent to my home via Fed-Ex. I then traveled across town to get it activated and to send the old, water-damaged phone back to Verizon. Later that day we discovered that the phone was defective as it could not send or receive text messages, a major form of communication for my family. So, after a 35-minute call with tech support, they agreed and then send me another phone overnight. Another trip across town and another trip to Fed-Ex to send them the defective phone.
Fed-Ex sells office supplies. While we were waiting there, S took pictures of several post-it notes that tickled her sense of humor and mine. The pictures didn't turn out very well, however. So I'll just share the sentiments on the post-its:
-- I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was going to blame you.
-- I meditate. I burn candles. I drink green tea... ...and I still want to smack someone.
-- Even if the voices aren't real, they have some pretty good ideas!
-- Some days you're the pigeon and some days you're the statue.

Those are too funny! My favorite is the one about the voices having good ideas...
Sorry about your cell phone woes! I don't think I've ever had the fear of dropping it in the toilet.
