Good Friday 2008

Although it's hard to pinpoint, it is suggested that our term "Good Friday" is a linguistic accident of the German "Gottes Freitag" (God's Friday), much the same way that "good bye" is a linquistic derivitive of "God be with you."

Homily in one sentence: Beneath the rubble of our doubt, crushed and trapped under the weight of our sin, Jesus willing died, in perfect love, to redeem us.

May your Easter vigil be filled with remembrances of His sacrifice.
