McCarthy redeemed

Additionally, I'd recommend reading Ann Coulter's book Treason. I think it's the best book out there to learn about the Cold War all the way through the War on Terrorism.

I remember when I was buying that book a few years ago at Barnes and Noble with my teacher's discount. The young clerk asked me, "Are you sure this book is for school?" I replied, of course it was. She asked me what kind of class it was for. I told her history. She asked me why we weren't using a textbook. I told her I preferred NOT to use textbooks since everyone has a point of view expressed in their writing and we might as well know upfront what that is. She said she had never used anything but a textbook in her public school. I told her, "Oh I'm so sorry to hear that." She stopped questioning me and gave me the teacher's discount.
