Our youngest is so excited about Spring being here -- with the various opportunities to play outside, to collect bugs, to do chalk on the sidewalk, to ride her bike, to have a picnic! This kid *L*O*V*E*S* to play outside! So here's her take on that, from a picture taken last week:
Our oldest daughter has recently gone through a situation that is very hurtful. It crushes my mommy's heart to watch my children be in so much pain. It is such a feeling of helplessness.
Whenever our oldest daughter is hurting, the picture below comes to mind because it so clearly expresses her pain on her face. The picture was taken when she was almost 7 and getting her ears pierced. She's already had one ear done and her other ear is being prepared to be pierced.

Even when they show things like despair, I am so thankful for photographs. There is nothing like them to capture moments...
