A few years back, the generous ladies of Martin Loopers shared a Reformation play called "First Lutherans" with those on the list who requested it.
Our church performed the play back in 2003, and now we're doing it again tomorrow night.
Tonight we had our one and only practice for the play and there was quite the witty stuff going on, such as this exchange.
We had been applauding everyone after they concluded their part, then, Mrs. M said to Mrs. G, "I'm not clapping yet. You have to impress me first."
Then Mrs. G started her second speaking part, and in it she says, "I remember back in 1837..." and then Mrs. M said, "Now I'm impressed," and started clapping.
We have funny ladies at our church who like to tease each other. I am always amazed and blessed at the warmth of their fellowship.
I'm looking forward to the rousing rendition of the "Reformation Polka" tomorrow that we'll sing together after the play.
