That was the title I would give my Pastor's sermon this past Sunday, from the epistle lesson Romans 3:19-28, as it was a question he asked near the beginning.
Reminding us of the good life we enjoy as Americans, and the false belief that if we're "good enough" we'll go to heaven, he posited that we still face the same issues of righteousness and certainty that plagued people in Luther's time.
He proclaimed the good news that we are justified by Christ's atoning death and resurrection and encouraged us to rely upon the Word of God not popular notions, answers or "feel good" theology.
Grace alone saves!
