In a perfect world, I would have posted this on time... but alas I was swept away in the current of preparations for K to attend the American Idol auditions in Omaha. She'll be singing tomorrow for the producers. She needs to learn "Born in the USA." (Not something she's familiar with.) I enjoyed Bruce as a teenager and young adult, but his politics got in the way and well, now I can't stand his voice!
Well, that was a long tangent.
Above is a beautiful picture of some columbines, Colorado's state flower. Even though we had our wedding in December, our main flower was the blue columbine. I still enjoy their stately beauty wherever I encounter them. My daughter S took that picture in mid-town Denver in June while I attended Daniel's Scholarship Fund nominating training.
