My mom's been gone now for 7 and a half years. This time of year makes me miss her acutely, however, because she and my father's anniversary would have been May 4th, and her birthday would have been May 9th.So, on our way home from the luscious Emerald Valley, we visited her and placed some yellow flowers in the vase of her gravestone.
Happy Mother's Day, Mom! You're in a better place now, at the table of our Lord and Savior.
