Remembering Dad

Today is the day my Dad was born 80 years ago. I've had a flood of memories about him today.
He had a difficult life, especially those first years as a depression era baby and the circumstances under which he was born and then had to live.
This first picture is from 1949. Isn't he handsome? Dad was a medic in the Air Force.
The next picture is my favorite one of my Dad and Mom. It was taken in Great Falls, Montana, circa 1964-66.
The last one is from circa 1970-72 at the top of Wilkerson Pass, Colorado, around the 4th of July. The snow was unexpected, and I had on shorts, so Dad carted me on his back to the outhouse.

Rest in peace, Daddy! I love you!

Birthdays and other holidays are often hard when the loss of a loved one is fresh. I'm praying for ya friend.

It is so fun to see photos. They really do tell a story that couldn't have been described in words. Thanks for sharing!
